Meet Eryn—Your Yoga Guide

Namaste! I'm Eryn, and I've been teaching yoga for adults who want to feel stronger, more balanced, and more at home in their bodies for over 20 years. My classes are accessible, supportive, and thoughtfully designed—whether you’re brand new to yoga, navigating joint pain, or simply looking to move well and stay independent as you age. My teaching is grounded in anatomy and movement science, with clear, intentional cueing that students often say makes classes easy to follow and feel safe. I focus on helping you understand how your body moves so you can build strength, stability, and confidence—both on and off the mat.

My Story

Movement has always been at the center of my life. From weight training in high school to teaching aerobics in university, to working as a certified personal trainer with private clients, I was continually drawn to understanding how the body moves and adapts. For me, yoga brought together everything I loved about movement while offering something deeper: awareness, sustainability, longevity, and relief from years of chronic back pain. From that moment, I was committed to this path.

I obtained my teacher certification and stepped away from my career as a managing editor to focus fully on practice, study, and teaching. My background in editing led me to work closely with best-selling author and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ray Long, editing six anatomy-focused yoga books (available on Amazon, if interested). I’ve also collaborated extensively with an international yoga therapist and physiotherapist, worked within a physiotherapy clinic, and taught yoga for seniors from the very start of my teaching career. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve studied thousands of hours—and I’m still endlessly curious.

My teaching is known for its clarity, thoughtful explanations, and anatomy-informed approach. Students often share that they feel reassured by the options and variations I offer, and by the reminder that any movement is beneficial. I place a strong emphasis on verbal cueing and clear guidance, helping students understand not just how to do a pose, but why it works for their body. My greatest reward is my students themselves—many of whom are in their 70s and 80s and continue to move with confidence, strength, balance, and independence. Their experience is a living testament to the power of a safe, accessible, and intelligently taught yoga practice.
