Seniors PLUS

Seniors PLUS is designed specifically for students aged 65 years and over, with special considerations for this growing populations' needs. No matter how much we resist Father Time, eventually he catches up with us, sometimes with new physical challenges. Getting older carries with it a bit of a learning curve. Luckily, aging gracefully is an option with yoga!

Exercise has been cited as absolutely essential for overall physical and mental health, aiding to improve balance, strength, flexibility, mental acuity, peace of mind, and more. Further, with a committed weekly practice (at the very least), Seniors PLUS can reduce the risk of falls, help to prevent injury, introduce students to a like-minded community, aids insomnia, improves posture, and so, so much more. If you're not sure if this class is for you, please reach out by phone or email, and we'll be sure to find you the right fit!

YOU CAN EXPECT: Most of the class takes place on the floor, doing core strength exercises and postures that strengthen the backside of the body. Full-body stretches will keep the joints mobile and standing postures will focus on improving balance and concentration. Note: Students must be able to get up and down off the floor without assistance; chairs can be provided.

40-Minute Yoga Flow

The thing that sets Eryn apart from most yoga instructors is her extensive knowledge and understanding of human anatomy. This allows her to give precise verbal direction which enables students to make any adjustments to their postures themselves rather than having hands-on assists. Sometimes these directions can be incredibly subtle, but when applied the posture completely opens up. The result for the student is a more mindful practice and a better understanding of their body’s capabilities in the postures. The sequencing of each class, in particular her Vinyasa (flow) classes, are works of art; different from week to week so you’ll always have something new to try. Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran yogi, Eryn’s genuine passion for the discipline of yoga and her positive energy can be felt all the way a the back of the room, gently encouraging you to explore your edge and to challenge yourself. If you’re looking for a fantastic yoga experience at any level, look no further than Eryn’s Yoga!
