Waking up early in the morning is one of the best ways to ensure that a commitment goes unchallenged. In this 45-minute class, we will warm up the body with some gentle stretches and breath-synchronized movements before moving into Sun Salutations as the foundation for building muscular strength, length, and tone. Standing postures will be used to fine-tune your ability to focus and hone postural alignment. We will close with some longer-held stretches, restorative postures, and a final relaxation to send you out into the day with energy, confidence, and enthusiasm. This class is suitable for anyone who is generally fit, injury-free, and motivated to explore the benefits of an early morning practice!

I have been running long distances all my life, mostly half and full marathon events. I have been very fortunate with keeping injuries at bay, however, as I get older, I am noticing a difference in both my running strength and my recovery time. I introduced traditional strength training a few years back, but still felt something was missing in my training. With some research, I decided to give yoga a try and to commit to doing it CONSISTENTLY, 2 times a week, just to see if there was a change.
The difference I have felt in participating in Eryn’s yoga is worth sharing. Eryn’s focus on core strength and leg stability, as well as the balancing and stretching components have done wonders for my tight hip, weak glutes and stiff shoulders. Her yoga practice is always taught with a challenging yet safe instruction. Eryn’s yoga has forced me to address the imbalances that my body has acquired from years of running, and for that I am forever grateful! Yoga will forever be a permanent part of my training regime.
