CHAIR YOGA BLEND
A unique and exciting class offering . . . .
Chair Yoga Blend combines the popular Gentle Yoga floor format with the seated and standing sequences often found in all-levels classes. Each class begins seated on the chair for centering and breath awareness. Gentle stretches will move each joint through its full range of motion and warm-up the body in preparation for standing postures. We will close with some gentle supine stretches before moving into a final relaxation.
This class is an excellent choice for students who:
Are seniors brand-new to yoga
Want a slower-paced class
Have limited mobility in their hips or knees
Struggle to sit on the floor
Wish to improve their balance
Want more than a gentle stretch, but still need support
Note: This class includes floor stretches. Students should be able to get down onto the floor with the assistance of a chair or know how to modify postures accordingly.
Dates: September 17, 24; October 1, 8,15
Time: 12:30pm-1:15pm (45-minute class)
Cost: $50 for 5 weeks or $10 per drop-in
